Conversion Tracking Setup
An account without working tracking still produces a confident report. It just cannot tell you which half of the budget worked — and in this region most enquiries arrive as a message, not a form.
The method
What has to be measured
Four events, and most accounts measure one of them.
- 01CallsIn healthcare, home services and automotive, most enquiries arrive by phone. A dynamic number ties each call to the ad that produced it.
- 02WhatsAppAcross these markets it carries more enquiries than forms do. The button click is an event and it can be tied to its source.
- 03FormsThe easiest to measure, and usually the smallest share. Measuring only this understates the account.
- 04Value, not countWhere order value varies, passing the real figure moves budget toward margin instead of toward whatever is cheapest.
What we do
What we set up
Call tracking
A dynamic number in the ad and on the page, with a minimum duration.
WhatsApp events
Each button click tied to its campaign and its page.
Form submissions
Measured at the point of submission, not at page load.
Dynamic value
Real order value passed with each conversion where it varies.
Offline events
Showroom visits and confirmed appointments where they can be captured.
Tag verification
Every event tested before launch rather than assumed.
Attribution window
Matched to your sales cycle, not left at the default.
Cross-device
So a phone search and a desktop purchase count once.
The difference
Measuring clicks, or measuring enquiries?
This is the single most consequential setting in any account, and it is usually inherited rather than decided.
Clicks and sessions
- The account judged on traffic, which always looks like progress.
- Calls and WhatsApp messages arriving with no record of which ad produced them.
- One conversion action counted equally, regardless of what the order is worth.
- A default attribution window that credits the last click and hides what built the sale.
Enquiries and value
- Every call, message and form tied to the ad that produced it.
- Real order value passed, so bidding follows margin rather than volume.
- An attribution window measured from your own data.
- Events verified before launch, so the first month’s data is usable.
We set this before any spend, on every account, without exception. Buying traffic before measurement is buying a report you cannot act on.

Questions
What gets asked about tracking
Can you track WhatsApp enquiries?
Yes — the button click is an event, tied to the campaign, the keyword and the page. In these markets it is frequently the majority of enquiries.
Do I need Google Tag Manager?
Usually yes. It keeps the tags in one place and lets us change measurement without touching your site each time.
What if my tracking is already set up?
We verify it rather than assume it. Most inherited setups double-count or miss the channel that actually carries the enquiries.
Can you track WhatsApp properly?
Yes — the button click is an event tied to the campaign, the keyword and the page. In these markets it frequently carries the majority of enquiries, and accounts that ignore it understate themselves badly.
What if my tracking already exists?
We verify rather than assume. Most inherited setups either double-count or miss the channel that actually carries the enquiries — and both errors look like healthy reporting.
Do I need to change my website?
Usually a tag and a few event triggers, not a rebuild. If the site cannot support measurement at all, we say so before quoting rather than after.
